c Grounds was attended by a small but lively crowd. We enjoyed a cold refreshing drink while visiting with our fellow members and taking the opportunity to meet some of their spouses. Members of the Women’s Council Board rounded up teams for the Nail Driving Contest while the Bayfield Lion’s Club prepared a great feast.On behalf of the HBASC Board of Directors, Elizabeth Salkind and Janet Enge honored Andrea Clough for her 
dedication and commitment in organizing the Women’s Council and making this Council a success. Andrea is leaving us to return to Pueblo where she will take an executive position with the YMCA. The Council was also recognized as the recipient of the $1500.00 NAHB Women’s Council Membership Drive Award for increasing its membership by 140%.

The Nail Driving teams lined up for the double elimination Nail Driving Contest. This relay event sought out the best nail drivers in our Association. Mark Simon of A Class Act, announced the rules and the teams including: The Stilettos, The Nail Biters, 16 Penny, The Square Heads, and the Alpine ½ & ½’s . Several techniques were used as each team member was on the spot to get their nail in fastest. The crowd roared in laughter and excitement to see who would come out on top! After several rounds and very few injuries, the 16 Penny Team (Jan & Ron Enge, Steve Osborne, and Dean Wegner) were declared the winners and presented with the Gold Hammer Award. Their names will be forever emblazed on this traveling award and they will represent the HBA in the Women’s Council Nail Driving Contest at Bayfield Heritage Days in
